THE TEST

You are running a blower door. The fan depressurizes the house. The manometer reads the pressure difference between inside and outside.

• Ten rounds. Drive the needle into the green band and hold it there.
• One new mechanic per round, alone, so you learn it clean. From round 4 they stack and stay stacked.
• Round 4 opens the multipoint. The band does not jump to the next station, it glides down to it. Ride it there and you get paid for tracking.
• Multipoint is graded on two axes past the number: r² on the regression, and whether the flow exponent n lands somewhere a house could actually live.
• An unsteady hold scatters the point. Scatter is what wrecks r².
• When someone interrupts, the button is under the knob. You have to let go of the dial to deal with it.
